Designed by Mickie Caspi, this Mystic Mizrach giclee features the word "Mizrach." It is the Hebrew word for "east"--the direction of the rising sun and the direction that Jews face during prayer. Jewish law prescribes that Jews face the site of the Temple in Jerusalem. Mizrach also refers to the eastern wall of the synagogue, where the holy ark is situated. Over the centuries the mizrach has evolved into beautiful pieces of art. In this print, Mizrach is floating above a mystical rendition of Jerusalem.
