Designed by Israeli artist, Yair Emanuel, this 11" challah board and its legs are made from Mango wood. Mango wood is categorized as a hardwood due to its dense grains. This means it is a strong and durable wood. It doesn't wear out easily and keeps its high luster. The natural color of Mango wood is most often golden brown, although there are variations across its surface. The wood is beautifully discolored due to "spalting," where wood can change different colors. Mango wood is similar in hardness to oak.
