Rare find...Handmade in the US ceramic tzedakah by Susan Garson-Tom Pakele. Box measures approximately 6.5" x 7". Highly glazed, colorful and two sided detailing. One side features animals on Noah's ark from zebras, giraffes, dove, fish and a lion. The top of the box has a 3D zebra head and its body is draped over the top, dove and moon. The other side features a dream-like scene of earth and sea. The piece is signed by the artists on the bottom. Garson-Pakele are a husband and wife team who incorporate whimsical imagery into ceramic Judaica ceremonial objects.
