Crust, Laya

Laya grew up in Winnipeg, Canada and currently lives in Toronto. Her philosophy is as one journeys through a day the things seen, heard, touched, tasted, smelled and felt changes from moment to moment and one becomes altered. Through her ketubahs, Crust attempts to touch people’s minds and emotions. When I design a ketubah, I try to find the source and soul of the work. I love to research the background of a ketubah idea and introduce images that connect the theme with history, geography, and spirituality.
