Boaz Design
Artist Boaz Kimelman was born in Jerusalem and, after serving in the Israeli air force for 4 years, relocated to the United States in 1981 to study graphic design; first at the Art Institute of Boston and then at The School of Visual Arts in New York City - where he received a BFA degree. In 2013 Boaz created his own unique Jewish/Hebrew line of graphic artwork and products, which combines his passion for design and typography with Hebrew, his native language. His design philosophy is based on the idea of using the Hebrew language in a way that appeals to all. In Boaz Kimelman’s own words, “Although I have lived in the United States for well over 30 years, I have remained passionate and connected to Israel in a deep and profound way. I have brought out my “artistic voice” by creating artwork that uses Hebrew letters and words. Wordplay Graphics is a Judaica brand offering a unique and bold. yet whimsical. line of Hebrew-inspired products to satisfy the desire among Jewish and non-Jewish consumers for modern artwork. My passion is bringing design to life in a way that is both fresh and new while at the same time practical”.
